About Me

Art has always been part of who I am. Long before I understood what it meant to be an artist, I was drawing, observing the world around me and finding comfort in creating. Although I left school at fourteen, my passion for art never disappeared.

In my thirties, I made the decision to follow that passion and completed a Bachelor of Art & Design – a journey that changed the direction of my life and gave me the confidence to tell stories through my work.

My path to becoming an artist has been anything but conventional. I have worked as a dental technician, embalmer, and most importantly raised my family. Each experience has shaped the way I see the world, teaching me about vulnerability, resilience, love and loss. These experiences continue to influence every piece I create.

What drew me to screen printing was its unique balance of precision and spontaneity. I was fascinated by the process of building an image layer by layer, allowing each transparent print to reveal only part of the story. It mirrors the way memories unfold – never all at once, but gradually, through fragments and feeling.
Painting on Perspex became a natural extension of that process. Its transparency allows me to work in reverse, carefully building each artwork from the back forward. Multiple screen-printed and hand-painted layers are suspended within the Perspex, creating depth, light and shadow that change as the viewer moves around the work. The finished piece feels almost weightless, inviting the viewer to look beyond the surface and discover quiet details hidden within.

Every artwork I create is an invitation to pause.

I hope my work reconnects people with moments of innocence, tenderness and wonder that are often forgotten in the busyness of life. Whether it evokes a childhood memory, reminds someone of a loved one, or simply encourages them to slow down, my greatest hope is that each piece is not seen, but deeply felt.
